Lead Craft Building Products have been involved in the construction industry for the last 25 years and know the problems that builders are faced with on a daily basis. Lead products should not arrive on site unless they are properly treated with patination oil and bitumen paint where necessary.

On a lot of occasions lead is built in without having been treated. More often than not the bricklayer is on price work and feels it is not his job to start to paint lead.This can result in lead weeping, especially on chimneys and destroying the slates or tiles below. This can be very unsightly especially to a new house which is the first thing to catch your eye.

Our lead tray is specially made to throw the damp away from the flue and towards the weep holes. We also turn the lead up the inside of the flue liner to stop damp from creeping down the clay flue.
